QI the Board Game: A board game based on a TV show…

…can these be good?

Game based on the very funny ‘quiz’ show of the same name

Thanks, blurb, very helpful.

In this, you roll 3 dice, red, white and blue. You move your pawn a number of spaces equal to the white dice. Then you pick up the question book of the colour square you are on and look for a question.

The question number is the number of the dice in Red/White/Blue order…

You ask the question and go around the table in order to give an answer. They are multiple choice or true and false.

If someone gives the ‘obvious’ answer the next player can press the Klaxon to call them out and end the round.

You move forward if you get it right and move back A LOT if you were called out giving the Klaxon answer.

It’s a fun game, the questions are good and more importantly, the answers come with an explanation so you learn as you go.

Good fun, especially if you play in the spirit of the TV show.

QI the Board Game Update 15/06/2018

I NEVER think of this game when thinking of quiz games but it’s one of the best. Maybe I automatically think of ‘hobby’ games when asked to think of quiz games.

Still, The idea you have to give an answer, but not the obvious answer is fun. It’s like Pointless where you have to give the rarest correct answer.

It adds enough of a twist to make it interesting.

Yeah, other quiz games are better games. I immediately think of Wits and Wagers and Terra where you don’t always need to know the answer, just know who will know it 🙂

Again, a different way of thinking. But there is always Trivial Pursuit.

Also, this buzzer was used on the counter of the board game cafe I went to so I heard it way too much!
