Rooster Rush First Impressions

Why did the Rooster Rush across the road?

Because he noticed the spinning coin telling him the road was clear of course!

Players need to cross multi-lane roadways and avoid oncoming vehicles. Observation, risk-taking, and speed are the three skills you need in order to keep out of the hospital!

Rooster Rush Summary

So there are not a lot of games to directly compare this to. You need to look at the speed element which is the main part of the game.

So you look at games like Jungle Speed or even Pingo Pingo. Rooster Rush is also a game of patience. Sure you can make a quick snap pick or you can wait for the coins to start to settle and make a more informed choice.

Rooster Rush Components

It’s a unique game with a cool theme really, something different. The art is fun and the coins are really nice. They’ve heavily weighted poker chip-style tokens so they spin well.

But, it’s like a speed game on a timer, but it’s also a risk.

I mentioned earlier about making a snap decision or being patient and waiting for the right moment to score. As the coins slow you can start to see what they will land on.

But can you wait that long, make them all out, work out which roads are safe to cross AND pick the best one first? It’s tough 🙂

Then there is the emergency button, the get-out-of-jail-free card. It’s a weird one as if you use it right you return one of your lives, if not, nothing happens.

So when a player is on two lives they might as well press it over and over, or not make a selection at all. No point in risking elimination for a few points, right? Maybe.
