Kazoo-oke Music Game First Impressions

The terribly Kazoo-oke sees you play tunes on a kazoo for people to guess.

Can you play and can you guess them?

Kazoo-oke is a family fun music playing guessing game! Play on your own or in teams and using the Kazoo play some of the 150 songs in the game and see who is best at guessing. Who will master the Kazoo?

This game comes with 4 brightly coloured plastic Kazoos. As we played this during times of Covid 19, they were well sanitised before and after!

So a player draws a card and puts it in a pair of cardboard glasses they’re wearing. Try and do this without looking at it of course!

Kazoo-oke card and glasses

A player will play the easy tune on a kazoo and if the person wearing the glasses gets it then gain a point token. They then go on to medium for 2 points and hard for 3 points.

If a player gets one wrong or can’t get it, their turn ends and play continues clockwise. (I thnk!)

When all 40 point tokens have gone, the game ends and the player with the most points is the winner.

Kazoo-oke Summary

If you can’t play the kazoo you’re screwed immediately. The trick is to hum into it rather than blow. I kept having the hum Happy Birthday before playing my proper tune to get the action right.

It’s fun playing the tunes in a way… When they get it right away it’s disappointing sometimes, especially it’s a banger you wanted to get in to!

Of course, it’s frustrating when you play and play and they don’t get it. But if it’s a fun tune you can just keep playing. I did this with ‘It’s Tricky’ from Run DMC which is a fun tune to play.

If you’re playing a team game night this would be a good musical game round along with games like Most Quoted and others I mentioned in that post.

There is only 50 cards in the box but it’s only £5 so it’s worth it and was great as a silly bit of Boxing Day fun.
