Find the Pickle First Impressions

In Find the Pickle you, Find the Pickle.

As the box says, don’t overthink it.

Find The Pickle is not designed to be a serious card game, in fact, it’s mostly the opposite.

Find the Pickle Game Play

Very simple one this…

Everyone gets 3 cards. On your turn, you draw a card and then play up to two cards. You don’t have to play any at all.

Find the Pickle Cards

When the draw pile runs out and no cards are left to play, the player with the Pickle is the winner.

Theme

Ha! Pickle.

Setup & Rule-book

Shuffle the deck and deal 3 to each… That’s it.

The ‘rule book’ is written on one side of a single card. The game end condition is ambiguous though. it needed a little more detail there.

Components & Artwork

The cards are nice. Decent quality for the size of the game.

The artwork and names of the cards are a lot of fun.

Ease of Teaching & Accessibility

Well, I mentioned all the game rules are on one card so teaching is easy. All the other rules on the cards you play are simple.

It’s VERY accessible.

Find the Pickle Summary

There are quite a few of these lighter games. Fluxx is the obvious one which is do enjoy on occasion.

I did a quick review of the classic game Old Maid. In that, I said I’d like an updated version and this does it for me 🙂

The game is good fun. We played it during our lunch break at work and had a good time trying to figure out where the pickle is. Well, thanks to my social deduction tips I KNEW where the Pickle was I just couldn’t get to it!

It’s fun knowing where it is but not wanting to give anything away. Obviously, if you have it you want to be left alone.

If you know where it is you’ll want to make sure no one else does. The more players that mess with that player’s hand the more chance you have to lose track.

One downside is there are cards that skip a player’s turn AND change direction which means you can miss out on a few turns in a row.

Apart from that, it’s good fun.
