Marvel Dice Throne has you Yahtzee in the comic book world.
Plenty of characters to choose from.
You become one of eight of Marvel’s most famous heroes in a heart-pumping, fast-playing game of skilled card play and dice manipulation.
Marvel Dice Throne Quick Summary
Each player chooses a Marvel hero, such as Spider-Man, Thor, Black Widow, or Doctor Strange. Every hero has a custom set of five dice, a hero board showing their unique abilities, and a deck of cards that modify rolls and actions.
On your turn, you’ll roll your dice up to three times, keeping and rerolling any you choose. Your aim is to roll combinations that match the symbols needed to trigger your hero’s attacks or abilities. Some attacks deal direct damage, while others inflict or remove status effects. You can also play cards from your hand to boost attacks, change dice results, or gain Combat Points.
How to win
Each player starts with a set number of health points, and the goal is to reduce your opponent to zero before they do the same to you.
When one player’s health is reduced to zero, the other player wins. Games can also be played in teams or free-for-all formats depending on the number of heroes available.

Main Mechanisms
The game combines Yahtzee-style dice rolling with tactical card play. Your dice determine the core of your turn, but the cards you hold give you control over when to press your luck or protect yourself. Resource management through Combat Points adds another layer of timing and decision-making.
USP
The main hook is the mix of Marvel characters and the established Dice Throne system. But Marvel and Dice have been done before.
Theme
The theme is pure Marvel — each hero’s powers are reflected through their dice and abilities. Thor channels lightning, Black Panther builds up kinetic energy, and Loki uses illusions. It feels true to the characters without adding unnecessary complexity.
Setup
Setup is straightforward. Each hero comes in their own tray with dice, cards, and tokens. Pick your character, shuffle your deck, and start rolling. It’s quick and clean, especially for a game that looks as impressive as this one.
Components & Artwork
The presentation is one of the strongest parts of the game. The production quality is excellent — vibrant art, custom dice, and neatly organized trays for each hero. The box design matches the premium feel and makes setup and storage simple.
The art is really nice with interesting takes on the familiar characters.

Ease of Teaching
It’s an easy teach. If players know how to roll dice and match symbols, they’ll understand the basics right away. The hero boards explain everything clearly, and the cards use simple text. It plays quickly once everyone gets through a round or two.
Similar Games
Marvel United shares the light, quick, Marvel-themed gameplay. A more simlar game, Marvel Dice Masters also has players battling with dice and managing powers, so it’s another good comparison.
Marvel Dice Throne Review
Positives
The production looks great, with high-quality components and bold Marvel artwork.
The theme fits perfectly, and each hero feels distinct and true to their character.
The range of heroes gives a lot of variety and replay value.
Negatives
There’s a lot of randomness, both dice rolls and card draws can swing a game.
Buying the full set to access all heroes can be expensive.
Summary
Marvel Dice Throne delivers quick, exciting battles in the Marvel universe with great style and variety. It’s easy to play and looks fantastic, though it relies heavily on luck and can be costly if you want the full collection.
