Essen 2016 – Inis

Posted on by Jesta

Part of the Cyclandes/Kemet line of games.

From Greek to Egyptian to Celt.

Inis is a game deeply rooted in Celtic history and lore in which players win by being elected King of the Island (Inis). Players can try to achieve one of three different victory conditions:

Leadership: Be the leader — i.e., have more clan figures than any other player — of territories containing at least six opponents’ clans.

Land: Have your clans present in at least six different territories.

Religion: Have your clans present in territories that collectively contain at least six shrines.

So here you draft action cards then take turns using them to take actions.

The cards have various actions such as adding units to the board and moving them around… Also other things.

I was very tired when I played this 🙂

The board is pretty though and connects in a weird way. The minis and buildings are nice too.

When you control a region you gain control of it’s card which gives an ability.

You play until at the end of the round a player has a majority of the 3 winning conditions listed at the top of the page.

Sort description but as I said I was tired so the details are lacking AND it’s a dudes on a map game, not my kind of game.

However, I would like to play this properly with more than 2 players as it’s interesting and not too long 🙂
