A Strategic Survival Horror game by CoolMiniorNot. In XenoShyft players take the role of the NorTec Military, charged with defending their base against the onslaught of the alien “Hive”.
XenoShyft combines classic deck-building and resource management with fact paced combat and unique “base defence” elements- As the game progresses each player will build up their deck of Troops, Equipment, and Item cards, which they will in turn use to defend their base against incoming enemies in fast-paced and deadly combat.
It is up to the players to work together in order to outlast the horrors awaiting them by coordinating strategy, utilizing the strengths of their unique divisions (Med Bay, Weapons Research, Science Lab, and Armoury), and organizing defence tactics to insure no player is caught off guard by surprise attacks.
XenoShyft is a game of tactical decisions and survival horror- and survival is never guaranteed.
This is a deck building game where each player has the goal of defending the base, and their own particular part of it. The different parts of the base give the player defending it a special ability making their game play start, and continue to play, slightly different.
For example, if you are at the Barracks you start with extra Troops in your deck and get discounts for buying them.
It’s a standard deck builder in some way where you buy cards, but purchased cards are added straight into your hand. Also, you can pass cards to other players to help them out (It is a Co-op after all)
The area you are defending (your lane) requires that you place troops, arm them and boost them with equipment. This is where to co-op element comes in as each player passes Troops and equipment to those that need it.
The Enemies are attacking your guys and they are trying to break through your defences to attack the base. The base has one big HP total and when/if that reaches 0, all the players lose.
But, should the players defend the base long enough for the mining team to mine enough rare materials (in other words, survive 9 round) they win.
Did I pledge?
Yes, I like the idea of this one.
